Many people have a lack of love these days. There is so much fear today that we don’t what or who to trust. Many people have just gone numb to helping others because we may be angry at them and feel they don’t deserve it. For many, their love has grown cold. It may not be their fault but through different circumstances many people have a hardened heart towards caring about others and making a loving change in another persons life because, well they might feel like it’s pointless.
I have been one to pull back love for people based off how they treat me. When you are offended at someone the easy choice is to say “I’m not going to help you, show love to you, or give you money because you have hurt me.” I understand this, don’t get me wrong, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t change and be mindful of how Jesus died for us “while we were still sinners.” While you or that person were breaking the Ten Commandments, you know, adultery, murder, Jesus said, “those people are worth giving my life for.” In hopes that one day we would change.
Do you remember first getting excited about the rapture, or heaven? Those memories are a reason to say to yourself, “I need to snap out of these bad habits I’m in and get back to being a true Christian.”
Thank you
